SBS launch Genesys at NRA

8th May 2008

SCOTSMAN BEVERAGE SYSTEMS LAUNCH SECRET WEAPON TO INJECT QUALITY CARBONATED DRINKS TO PEPSI FOUNTAIN.  AND YOU CAN’T BOTTLE IT…

Scotsman Beverage Systems, part of the Enodis Group, has launched a taste challenge to visitors to the Enodis stand, 2800-3000, at the NRA Show 2008.

The leading cooling system and dispense equipment company will invite guests to taste the difference between a glass of Pepsi poured from a bottle and a glass poured from a branded soda fountain using the company’s new and unique Genesys technology.

The Genesys system, developed in conjunction with Britvic, the UK & Ireland Pepsi bottler, is storming the UK market, with a climb in sales of Pepsi fountain.

Designed to combat the inferior quality of current post-mix fountain drinks, Genesys continues to use standard bag in box syrup, maintaining the logistical shipping benefits.  The key to its success lies in the mixing and carbonation of a fixed ratio of syrup and water.  The accurate ratio control eliminates the chances of creating a weak drink.

Nigel Mobbs, International Business Development Director at Scotsman Beverage Systems, says:

“Genesys technology is a wake up call to the fountain drinks market. The industry has along held belief that the inferior quality of fountain combined with high equipment whole life costs has seen the bottom fall out of the market. Genesys has changed that, providing a superb quality fountain drink, equalling the taste and flavour of the same bottled product.

“Genesys is used in combination with a range of stylish fonts, adding an element of “theatre” to the purchase and improving Pepsi brand presence. UK consumers love the taste of the new draught Pepsi and this has set a high standard for competitors to reach.”
