MERRYCHEF TO FUEL STATOIL FORECOURTS ACROSS EUROPE

Merrychef, an Enodis Group company, today announced it has been specified to supply ovens to Statoil across Europe following successful trials of the Mealstream EC403.

Statoil Norway is leading the way with an order for 150 ovens through Merrychef distributor, Primulator.

Statoil has more than 2,000 sites across Europe and the current programme is being rolled out in Norway, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland.  Merrychef had already completed a successful roll-out with Statoil in Ireland, featuring the Mealstream EC503.

Merrychef has worked closely with Statoil and Group Red to develop a special version of the oven to fuel its hot food offering including breakfast sandwiches, pastries, subs, wraps, pasta, pizza and burgers. 

Talking about the partnership with Merrychef, Aine Kinsella, Concept Development Manager Statoil Retail – Europe, said:

“We have a close relationship with Merrychef having worked together in Ireland.  They have really been part of the team from menu development to staff training and service support.  The EC403 enables us to use Merrychef’s MenuKey® technology to programme several ovens at the turn of a key, which is a great labour saving device when working across several countries.”

The bespoke oven also incorporates a built-in catalyst, eliminating the need for ventilation so the oven can operate in virtually any environment.
