Lincoln Achieve Goal at Arsenal FC

4th May 2006

Enodis UK has announced that Arsenal FC will use the CTI Impinger ovens, manufactured by leading Enodis brand Lincoln within all of their fast food outlets at the new Emirates Stadium in North London, which is due to be ready for the start of the 2006/7 season.

Having worked with an Enodis chef to help with menu development, the stadium has purchased 48 of the new ovens, which will cook a variety of fast food from frozen pizza and burgers through to hot dogs and buns.  The ovens are stacked two high.

Ian Osborne, Group Managing Director of Enodis UK, is delighted.  “The Emirates Stadium is set to be one of the most talked about stadia in the world.  Such a facility is unique in that 75% of the demand is channelled into the 15 minute half-time period.  If you miss this deadline, you miss sales.  The Lincoln ovens have been purchased to ensure that the sales opportunity is maximised to the full.

Introduced twenty years ago, Impinger ovens use a continuous conveyor to cook a variety of food.  By surrounding the food with small jets of hot air as it travels through the oven chamber, at a speed set to the correct cooking time, it creates a tastier flavour, and means food is cooked thoroughly, allowing a more efficient heat transfer at lower temperatures.

The Emirates stadium selected Lincoln on the reputation of the brand, its reliability and for the speed at which it can cook a complete range of frozen and fresh food.  Once in operation Enodis chefs will continue to work with the Emirates chefs to enhance the food offering with the Lincoln Impinger.
