The Mansion House
7th July 2006

The Mansion House is a highly-acclaimed* hotel located just off Poole Quay.
Chef Owner Gerry Godden offers a classic, broadly French menu in the Cherrywood-panelled dining room and a simpler yet equally enticing bistro menu.
Gerry recently worked with an Enodis UK Premier Dealer, Phoenix Services (Bournemouth) Ltd, to upgrade his kitchen to include a new top of the range Garland Ultra Plus Island Suite, the first of its kind on the South Coast.
The unique stainless steel Garland Suite comprises three ovens, a split solid top burner, built in fryer, stainless steel griddle and complete rise and fall salamander. To complete the kitchen upgrade Gerry also purchased a Convotherm 10:10 combi oven from Enodis UK.
Talking about the new equipment, Gerry said:
“I’ve worked with Garland equipment for the past eighteen years and it has served me incredibly well. Talking to colleagues just reaffirmed my confidence in Garland. Choosing new equipment can be a real headache but working with Phoenix and Enodis UK made it simple and I’m delighted with my investment.
“The island unit has made my life so much easier, it’s all built in and flush which makes the cleaning process so much easier. Ergonomically the ignition points are high up, making it easy to light too.
“The kitchen lay out already worked well so there was no need to change that. Amazingly the installation was complete within two days, which meant we were closed for the shortest possible amount of time.”
* The Mansion House has AA red star status, making it one of the top 200 hotels in Great Britain and Northern Ireland (AA).
