Scotsman Beverage Systems, one of Europe’s leading suppliers of drink cooling and dispense equipment, has supplied Heineken UK with 150 beer coolers to serve thirsty football fans at Chelsea.
The remote coolers have been supplied and installed in just three weeks in time for the start of the new season. 100 Vision 34cc remote coolers and 50 Rio 10, 11cc mini remote coolers will chill the Heineken poured from 400 beer taps in the 51 bars inside Chelsea’s football stadium and the surrounding ‘village’ complex of hotels, bars, restaurants and conference facilities.
Heineken UK’s draught beer services manager, Derek Noble, said: “At peak times, all the taps at Chelsea FC will be serving three pints per minute, that adds up to 60,000 pints of Heineken an hour. We need to be confident in the performance and reliability of the coolers to ensure Heineken is served at just the right temperature, 4oC.”
Rob Corbett, brewery sales director for Scotsman Beverage Systems, said: “Heineken UK has been exclusively using our coolers for more than a year and this installation is testimony to the quality, performance and cost effectiveness of our products under the most testing of conditions.”
The high volume Vision coolers are fitted with Scotsman Beverage Systems’ MaxIce technology which extracts over 50% more available cooling capacity than standard coolers, dramatically increasing performance and efficiency. By increasing the size and stability of the ice bank, MaxIce tests have proved that over 50 % more drinks can be dispensed within specification. The Rio upright coolers are designed to provide high levels of reliability and durability in a compact design.
